wow is all I can say
This book took me through all sort of emotions. The main character is a nobody who treats everyone including himself like shit. Turns around and gets a taste of his own medicine. Then ending twist was very unexpected and I thought it would be the other way around. Great book for my short attention span. Great read.

This book honestly wasn’t awful. Just underwhelming. I say that, not to sound like an edge lord or something along those lines, but as a genuine statement. I wish the author would have taken more creative liberties when writing this book. It is very much “I can guess what’s going to happen by the end.” Characters like this main character are supposed to be somewhat mysterious and withdrawn, and the author did nothing for him by painting him as your generic psychopathic incel. It’s an incredible book if you’re wanting to start your journey in gruesome horror, but just be prepared to read thirty books just like it.

Disgusting, Disturbing, and Fun
100% Match has been on my radar for a while and this is my first introduction to Patrick C. Harrison III’s fiction. It’s the tale of a bald man named Bart who is searching for the perfect partner. He is full of statistics related to dating and goes to great lengths to be the most attractive bachelor. It just so happens he’s a psychopath and commits disturbing acts throughout the book.I burned through the short book in one sitting and it definitely elevated my afternoon. It’s fun, entertaining, and the prose is smooth. I can’t wait to check out more work from this author and it’s highly recommended for extreme horror fans even though it’s on the lighter end of the subgenre’s spectrum.

This book is exactly what I was aiming for when I read the back and examine the front cover. All the information he knows about women and what they like is odd. Also how all his days plays out, what he do to satisfy himself is extremely disturbing, but the book is amazing I recommend it ð

First of all, there are extreme trigger warnings for this book/novella.The short story follows the main protagonist, Bartholemew Bartley (Bart) a fast food worker, on his quest to find love and his 100%match in life.This novella doesn’t quite fit into the genre of thriller, or extreme horror but perhaps the splatter punk genre. It is designed to get a reaction. It is supposed to make you feel something. Did I love this novella? No. Did I like it? Not overly. Would I recommend it? I’m not sure to whom I should.Bart, believe it or not, even with all the disgusting and vile things he does, is actually quite likable to the reader, although if im honest I definitely wouldn’t like to meet him or eat from “Jim’s” where he works.The short novella is filled with laughable (but maybe accurate) statistics that Bart knows about women and relationships. The book is equally gruesome as it is funny.100% of people will not recommend this book ð

Partiamo dalle cose negative.Ci sono alcune scene di crudeltà sugli animali, ma non si scende nei particolari e sono sopportabili (e ve lo dice una che ha questo come unico trigger). Il finale è un po’ troppo affettato e secondo me una cinquantina di pagine in più avrebbero giovato all’economia dell’intera storia.Detto ciò mi sento comunque di premiare la scrittura e la caratterizzazione del protagonista con 5 stelline.E poi ho sghignazzato per tutto il tempo.L’ossessione di Bart per le statistiche e le percentuali è una delle peculiarità della storia ed è una delle cose che mi ha fatto apprezzare questa novella.Mi è piaciuto davvero un sacco!Super consigliato a coloro che leggono l’extreme horror.
