    Excellent Book!!!
I received this book from Speedy Publishing. I remember having to learn computer basics when I was in school, although I was much older than first grade, which is the grade level which this book is geared toward. This is first grade computer basics, all about the computer and its parts. The book included a lot of cartoon pictures of kids seeming to have a party around a computer or something. I thought these were kind of unnecessary. I also felt that the explanation of what a computer does was very simplified. The section on the parts of the computer was great, in my opinion. I would have liked for the book to have correct grammar and sentence structure. Punctuation was left out and there were a couple of other errors. If you are writing an educational book you should pay attention to those types of things. The illustrations looked realistic and looked like the real parts of a typical computer. This is a good starter book for kids who are trying to learn the parts of the computer. It is very basic but with the pictures and short text it should be easy for them to remember what each part of the computer is called and the main idea behind it. I ordered this book for my four year old, he knows a little bit about the computer, from using ABC mouse, he wasn’t too interested in ABC mouse. My son is on the Autism spectrum, on the mild end, but he still has very limited interests. I ordered this for him, so we could read it together. It’s part of me trying to broaden his horizons and get him interested in some new things. I love the fact that the book uses short, very simple terms that a child of any age can understand. The pictures are nice too. A little more information about the computer would be nice, this is very basic, but for now that’s ok! Since it is geared toward younger kids, I wish it would have a topic about how computers are sensitive, and we have to be gentle, and shouldn’t eat or drink near the computer. I plan on reading it to him a few times a week, and then introducing him to some other fun learning websites, that he can use. As of now all he uses is a tablet, and he isn’t playing learning games, he’s watching videos on his few topics he is interested in. I am glad that I got a chance to read this to my kids.I received this at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Cute book, but maybe for younger kids
This book is great if your kid knows nothing about computers, my son however does and I think this would be better suited for a Kindergartner or preschooler in this day and age. The book has a lot of pictures but the colors do not pop out at you, it is a cute book but kind of boring. It tells you about all aspects of the computer from the mouse, to the brain of the computer. I think it breaks down the information nicely and is written in a way that little kids can comprehend and I like that about it. My son let me read him the whole book but kept saying “MOM, I already KNOW that” and was somewhat irritated that I made him sit through it anyhow.Pros:* Explains the parts of the computer in a way little minds can understand* Plenty of pictures*Can be read to younger kids, not just first graders. I think a preschooler or Kindergartner would understandCons:*In my opinion, written for a younger audience*Colors do not pop out at you*I was provided this item for free in exchange for my review, I was not compensated in any way for the rating this book received from me”

I would have given a negative star. It is simply cheating. the book contains 18 pages each with one picture and maximum two sentences about a ietm..for example, say, a mouse, or monitor. DON’T BUY. In fact, do not buy any book on kindle that it is not costly, or free.

Considero que el libro es demasiado básico, pero no se puede pedir más para lo que costó. Sirve como introducción.
