Brain massage for mid 50’s
I like to do a few puzzles from this book before bed when I am not quite sleepy but want something to do until I get there. I grab this book and do a few puzzles at night before going to bed. There are an assortment of puzzles so every page is an exciting adventure. Not too easy. Not too hard. A good variety mix for various intellect. It is also a good learning tool. The puzzles are quite fun!!

Purchased for an elderly person in order to keep their minds strengthened. It has easy parts and difficult parts which require some research which helps with cognitive recognition.

Boo yah!
I’ll admit I bought this for me, I’m 53. Lame I know but I’d rather do something to make my brain work better than play a game on my tablet. Plus yes, I do actually like activity books. Like I said, lame. Anyway I can honestly say this is the best activity book I’ve ever bought. This is not the average activity book not soduko, maze, find the difference, word search…over and over again. I opened this book and by the the 10th page I was back on Amazon seeing if this author had created anymore books like this. Thankfully, yes! I ordered it right then. I am the 3rd chapter now and it’s still as fun as when I first started it. These “puzzles” actually make you think, some harder than others, lol. Scrambled words, name fruits, animals, countries from A-Z in 2 minutes. Things that happened in history. Words with oo or zz in them. Baseball terms. I’ve only come across 3 word finds so far! Like I said, different. There are way too many to name. Over 300 pages of different activities. I can’t say enough good things about this book. You’ll just have to try it for yourself, you won’t be sorry. I’ve actually learned some new things. The pages are a good quality paper, printed front and back and color not just black and white.

A mixed bag of fun challenges + ridiculously outdated trivia
We highly recommend half of this book. It’s full of challenges that are accessible by almost anyone, and there’s a lot of variety. For instance, you might be given two different word definitions & have to name a homonym set that fits. Or you might be tasked with listing 26 different color names, one for each letter of the alphabet. Or come up with a list of words that begin with the prefix “ant-” based on various clues. We find these types of puzzles both challenging & genuinely fun. And for most of them, they’re the types of challenges that you can read aloud to a group–or to a significant other–to enjoyably while away a long road trip. But then there’s the other half of the book. That’s the half filled with some of the most useless trivia from long gone eras. You might be asked about a wealthy socialite from the 1920s, or a slightly famous murder trial that took place during the Great Depression. Occasionally there are questions from the 1990s or–even more rarely–from the 2000s. But these are few & far between. For the most part, you’ll get a lot of questions that you’re really only likely to know if you lived during the early-to-mid 20th century. In retrospect, the cover text is very revealing: the book claims these puzzles were designed to “keep your brain young.” That makes sense if it was written with an an older audience in mind.Bottom line: if you were born in the 1940s and enjoy word puzzles & trivia, it’s a no-brainer to buy this book–you’ll probably enjoy every page. If you were born in the 1970s, you’re going to struggle a lot but you’ll still get a lot out of it. And if you were born in the 1990s or later: enjoy the word challenges, but prepare to skip many, many pages & roll your eyes a lot.

Ich bin ein richtiger Fan von Logik und Matherätsel. Das Buch ist genau das richtige für mich und meiner Freundin. Wir haben richtige Rätselstunden mit dem Buch.

This is a large collection of puzzles with a great variety of puzzle types and varying skill levels. Most puzzles and answers seem fairly easy (which give you a sense of accomplishment), however there’s always a few in each puzzle that are a little more difficult and make you think a little harder, which is the whole point. I would recommend this book.
