    Great sequel
Loves the first book and had a great time with this one as well. I hope there will be more.I love the two main characters Alice and Iris, Iris is my favorite, they solve crimes and get into so much trouble.I really like the scene at the end between Alice and her mom. Also nice to see Iris moving forward with a certain someone. All in all I had a great time

    fun, easy read
Another easy and interesting story, but there are too many mysteries left unsolved, leaving me hoping for a book 3!

    enjoyable sequel
Our two favorite Agatha Christie fans and aspiring detectives, Alice and Iris, are at it again in “The Night in Question.” Alice is looking forward to the annual Sadie Hawkins dance, which is being held at Levy Castle, as it gives her an opportunity to sneak away and explore the private quarters in the hopes of finding information about the death of movie actress Mona Moody in 1949. Ms. Moody dated Charles Levy, the millionaire who built Levy Castle, and it was a fall off the Castle’s balcony that resulted in her untimely death. Moody’s death was officially classified as an accident, but people have speculated over the decades that something sinister happened. A compelling story for any true mystery fan. Furthermore, exploring the private quarters of Levy Castle also means exploring the secret passages in the Castle, and who can resist that? However, Alice’s snooping will undercover a much more current and personal crime. Two of Alice’s former friends, Rebecca Kennedy and Helen Park, had a very public fight at the dance. When Alice comes out of a secret passageway in a second-floor room, she finds Park holding a bloody letter opener and standing over the body of Kennedy, who is covered in blood and clearly has been viciously assaulted. Park is the obvious suspect, and when Alice tells Detective Thompson what she saw, he focuses his attention on Park as well. Kennedy is not dead, but her injuries require the doctors to place her in a medically induced coma.Alice and Iris don’t believe that Park is responsible, and with the help of their friends, set out to find the true assailant(s). However, Detective Thompson did not appreciate their interference in the Brooke Donovan investigation (even though they solved the crime), and he is even less tolerant of any interference this time. This will become a major problem for Iris. In addition, Alice has been slacking off in school, spending too much time investigating mysteries, which is causing problems with the classmate with whom she is supposed to be doing a group project, the teachers whose classes she is skipping, and her absentee parents, who unexpectedly return home, together, and proceed to lecture her on responsibility, the importance of school, etc. — things she does not want to hear, especially from them. There is also tension between Alice and Iris for various reasons, which will worsen as a result of events that happen in relation to their investigations into Kennedy’s attack and Moody’s death. Alice and Iris will also discover that Moody’s death and Kennedy’s attack may be connected somehow, with the connections rather surprising (and life-altering for multiple Castle Cove families).

    More Agatha Christie Ispiration
If you have read The Agathas by Kathleen Glasgow and Liz Lawson, you will love The Night In Question. Teenage sleuths Alice and Iris are again drawn into a challenging mystery. Plus, the intrepid duo is able to solve what really happened at the Levy Castle almost a century ago. With its great setting, well drawn characters, and action filled suspenseful plot, this is not only a highly entertaining book, but it would be a must see movie. The first Agatha book was geared to older teens, but younger teens can read this one without parental concern.I am already looking forward to the next book in the series!

    Such a fun read!
I am an absolute SUCKER for a Young Adult Murder Mystery and The Night in Question did NOT disappoint!
Both The Agathas and The Night in Question are fun, clever, humorous, and not nearly as predictable as a lot of YAMM I’ve read, which I absolutely love. They keep you guessing and turning the pages as quickly as you can!

    Loved ❤️
While I didn’t enjoy it as much as I did the first novel it was still a juicy read. I enjoyed both Iris and Alice equally. When it came to Moody there were so many characters that at one point I got a little confused but I caught back on. It was quite a nice late summer read 😊
