    Very informative
I really enjoyed reading this book. Sanger gives a very thorough explanation on the “cold war” we are headed for or perhaps already in with China. Helped me understand the complex industry of semiconductors, the sophisticated cyber threat we face, and convinced me that we are no longer the only big kid on the block. Very good book.

    Masterful
This book is even better than I hoped it would be, which is saying a lot.As always, Sanger’s accounts and analysis are deeply sourced and he manages to provide new details and fresh insight into a wide range of events that I previously thought I had looked at from every angle (it turns out I had not).More than anything, Sanger’s writing is superb, and as a result, the book is a joy to read. I literally could not put it down. Sanger knows what he wants to say and he doesn’t equivocate. This is a masterful work by a craftsman at the peak of his powers that I’m confident will be read and studied for many years to come.

    Fascinating Insights of International Diplomacy
Sanger provides so many extraordinary revelations about US diplomacy, it’s almost hard to believe much of this information is de-classified. The book starts out by Sanger masterfully tracing the history of international strategic positioning of the three major powers, taking the reader on an “inside baseball” look at past Administrations, primarily focusing on international developments from George W. Bush to Joe Biden. But what starts out as an unvarnished look at the strengths and weaknesses of those Administrations, by later chapters, begins to read like a puff piece written by Biden’s press secretary. To make his point, Sanger launches into an extremely harsh and challenged critique of Netanyahu, presenting Biden as a noble man conflicted by moral epiphanies, that can’t help but appear to be sucking up to the portion of his base protesting at college campuses and threatening to abandon him in November. Why is it that reporters just can’t simply report the news rather than trying to shape it?
