    With just a letter.
The question is what does two people do follow their hearts or do what is expected their duty to their family? This is what the heroine and hero face in this delightful tale. There are so many challenges that Mary and James have to overcome and some of these challenges are downright dangerous. The whole thing was a bit of a tangle but the ending was grand. I liked Harriet and Orton. I enjoyed reading the book and it is one I am happy to recommend.

A Bayonet to Set her Free
Another very good story by this author about Mary and James who love each other and their parents that want them to marry someone not suited These characters are determined to be together and they are in the end A wonderful enjoyable story

    clean read
Two childhood friends meet as adults. When they meet again both are betrothed (since childhood) to someone other than each other. Neither our hero or heroine are impressed with their future mates and the story revolves around how to get out of their betrothals so they can find their hea with each other. It is a clean read with a simple plot.

    Clean Regency Romance
Such a sweet, precious story! Our main characters find themselves betrothed to people they cannot stand, each seeing no way out of a life of misery. These two childhood friends reconnect with each other after 8 years apart, and immediately realize they love each other. How will they manage to be together? Is it possible to get out of their current betrothals without alienating their parents? With their honor intact? Will they have to give up all they know and live a life of poverty simply to be together? The author uses vivid imagery, intrigue, and cunning in telling this wonderful tale!ISide note: I don’t know about other readers, but finding grammatical, punctuation, and typographical errors lessens the enjoyment of the reading experience for me. I want to say kudos to the author and proofreader, for I noticed no such errors in this book; keep up the excellent work!

Love will find a way against all odds!
Congrats to Ms. Norton on an excellent read. Two young children growing up and being playmates as children cross paths again many years later. They are drawn to each other but not just as friends. Both have been promised to someone else at an early age by their fathers. Can they find a way to release themselves and be together?

I liked the storyline – it was different because both main characters were bethrothed to other people who they didn’t like. Although Mary and James were attracted to each other and gradually fell in love, it seemed impossible for them to break free from their fiancées in order to be together. There were some things that caused me to give it only three stars. The story was too repetitive and overly descriptive which made it a bit tedious. There were some instances where more explanation was needed e.g. how did Faulkner and Yeaton find out about James and Mary? Why was Harriet’s family never mentioned? There was a twist in the story which made it more interesting.
