    Murder in paradise!
I truly enjoyed this story and the characters of Dana and Courtney, her best friend. Dana has inherited her uncle’s property in Costa Rica and has decided to leave San Francisco and move to the small community of Mariposa Beach. However, upon her arrival she finds that her uncle’s son and wife are disputing the will and taking her to court in Costa Rica even though they lost their appeal in the US. There’s a murder and Dana becomes a suspect. A great crime mystery that took me to a surprising ending. I recommend and will be reading book 2.

Great start for a series, love the setting, the cat, characters and the little shops
This was just as enjoyable as I’d hoped it would be! I have to admit I went for the beach setting, cute cat on the cover and the irresistible intro price when I got it, but I was happy to see it’s part of Kindle Unlimited, so I’m going to continue reading it by borrowing it hence keeping up with my goal of trying to make the best use of my KU. Not to mention that I really like these characters and want to see what happens next.I’ve never been to Costa Rica and have no plans to go, so this was the perfect armchair travel mystery for me. From the awesome beach descriptions to the fun little shops, I loved every bit of it. I had a feeling about someone being the killer fairly early on and much to my surprise (I think I’m just getting better at guessing!), I was right. The showdown was good, and an old enemy became a friend to Dana who, of course as anyone can guess, was able to keep her beach house she’d inherited.

    formulaic
Take one woman, a sidekick, a cat or dog, handsome potential romantic interest, and a dead body. The lead, too dumb to obey orders from cop. Mix together, place in a tropical setting, add drama, red herrings, and voilà! You have a cozy!Easy read, excellently described location, good beach read.

    I Want To Move!
Have always enjoyed my time visiting Costa Rica and this series of books make me want to move too. They are light and fun reads of a great cast of characters both local and ex-pat. The plots and storylines are not crazy or out landish and descriptions of the setting is spot on. Super reads.

    Murder in Costa Rica
Having lived in Costa Rica, I was excited to start this series. It certainly hits the mark as far as the atmosphere and flavor of Costa Rica. Whole I enjoy the books and like the main characters, how many murders can this small beach town support? All of the cozies situated in small towns follow the same formula. Maybe if a murder or two took place in a larger neighboring city it would be more believable. Maybe cozy murder mysteries aren’t supposed to be believable. I’ve read two from this series, but I’m afraid before too long I’ll tire of the series.

    Great read
This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed reading this first book in the series. Great characters and interpersonal relationships. Looking forward to the next book and seeing where things go.😉

    Great beach book.
This was a great book to read at the beach or the pool. Of course due to Covid – I read mine on the couch and just tried to envision that I was at the beach or the pool. Easy read.
