    Quite a ride!
I couldn’t stop reading this book. It started in the middle of a bachloette-type production in California with Georgia, 12 bachelors vying for her love or a monetary prize. This is the first in a trilogy of love or money stories…I am planning to read the next two

    Decent Mystery
Georgia has had a rough year. She’s left at the alter, fired from her job and let her best friend talk her into being on a dating show where she must figure out if the contestants are there for love or money. On the first date, her date is injured and in a coma. Another contestant appears to have killed himself or did he? Are the two incidents connected? The mystery is quite good. The characters are likable. Humor is so-so.

Clean mystery on a reality tv show
Wow, this is quite a story. Georgia used to be a cop and was left at the altar by another cop on their wedding day. The first date is bungee jumping off a bridge, not something Georgia would have chosen to do. I liked Aaron and was sorry he was injured and unconscious right away and ends up in the hospital. Then a second contestant is found hung in Georgia’s trailer. The police think it is suicide, but Georgia doesn’t as Sergio had said there was something he needed to talk to her about. I liked his character too. Georgia’s ex is brought in to replace Aaron, claiming to be undercover. Paul is a complete jerk and I couldn’t figure out why he wanted her back when he didn’t seem to want to get married. Georgia soon realizes she is no longer in love with him.Georgia really wants to get off the show, but can’t without being sued. There are 10 bachelors, 5 are in it for the money, 5 are in it for love. So while Georgia is getting acquainted with the men, she not only is looking to find someone she could love, while also having to figure out which are on the show for love and which for the money. She almost makes a mistake as one of Paul’s police officer friends give her files on all the men and changes their information, trying to get her to choose Paul.I thought several times I knew which man she would choose, but didn’t really know who until the reveal-I just kept hoping she would not fall for Paul’s lies. Georgia figures out that her friend Becca is in danger and goes looking for her with one of the contestants. Thankfully they find her in time and the killer is apprehended. I loved the ending and was happy that Georgia chose the man she did.

    Good read
Good read but dragged some what in the middle. But, it is an okay beach read. Did like her dad.

    Delightful fun
I quite enjoyed this book, much more than I thought I would. Reality shows are ripe for satire. I couldn’t tell you how this book stacks up against “real” reality shows, as I’ve never watched one. But I was engaged with the story throughout. It came close to the line of too ridiculous, without crossing it. The female lead was strong and called on her police training. Unfortunately, she did slip into girlie indecision more than once, which set my teeth on edge, but I suppose that’s to be suspected and forgiven in cozy romances. I look forward to reading more from this author, and hope this character gets a series.

Excellent start to a new series!
I really wasn’t sure if I would like this book when I started it. The premise of the reality dating show isn’t terribly interesting, but I like this author so I decided to give it a shot . I’m glad I did because it kept me interested the entire time. There’s great suspense, I really liked the main character, and I didn’t guess Whodunnit until the very end. I’m not sure where she’s going to be able to go with this premise, but I definitely will give the author a chance and buy the second book when it comes out.

  7. Father Ted

An ordinary cozy mystery with cardboard characters and vacuous dialogue. Just what the readers of this genre desire. I’m still trying to work out what it was about the title, front cover, or blurb that convinced me to download it. It was free, so who am I to complain?
