    An excellent story
I have read quite a few of this author’s works and have enjoyed every one of them. This book was no exception. The characters are fun, loyal to each other, and they work well together when the chips are down. The plot is straightforward and easily followed, and the premise is finding out who killed the stranger in the flowered dress and why. The answers are myriad and convoluted as well. I most definitely recommend this book and the entire series. Excellent reading!

  2. Mystery Girl

    Still in the U.K.
I enjoy Addie being in the U.K. but I do miss the setting of her previous books in the U.S. and the friends she had that added so much color. This book is well written and I enjoyed the mystery and new friends she made, but her angst over several pages of why she left the U.S. and should she go back, were just a bit much. We’ve all had broken hearts to one extent and another, but I personally don’t know anyone who fled the country. The book left us wondering if she was going back home as planned, Again….a possible new BF, another cop? Addie, Please decide where your loyalties are and stick with them….U.K. or the U.S…….the town that was named for your ancestors.

    Excellent read!
Addie Greyborne is definitely enjoying her time staying and working at a bookstore in West Yorkshire. Though she misses being home with her friends and the bookstore she owns, this is a trip she needed to take. When a dear friend of hers throws an engagement party to celebrate his upcoming wedding things go horribly wrong. A rare book and a dead body. And Addie, being Addie, throws herself into the investigation. I love all the characters! Each one described in detail and the mystery is very well written. I happily recommend this book and series!

Hopeful this is a new beginning
I’ve enjoyed getting to know Addis over the years but felt the people who talked about being her friends weren’t really. This English village seems like she’s finally found home. Everything about this book was fresh and new. Very much enjoyed this new chapter for Advice and hope this is just the beginning for many more. If not I will be sad, but thank you MS Elliott for this wonderful story!

A Limited Edition Murder Book 10
Addie after a year in England is in the process of heading back to America when her friend Tony’s fiancee Hailey is suspected of killing a young woman at her engagement party. Addie works to find the real killer and gets to know the Inspector. Will she return to America or stay?

    Nice change of place.
It was a fun change to have the story set in England, and the change of characters. There’s also an opening or two to continue the story in another book.

    Great read, as usual.
Actually, I can’t wait for Addie to get home! I am anxious to see how she makes out around her two old heart throbs, both of whom are now married. Will she ever get married and have a family? This book combined a very old murder with a recent one, surprise visits from home friends, and the return of a family book. Addie solved multiple mysteries and gained respect from British coppers as well.

I loved this addition to the series The Addie in this book is so likeable. She seems more relaxed without Simon. I wish she,d stay in England.

For one thing, I really missed Addie’s friends and colleagues from her home setting. Without them, this was just another improbable cosy mystery, o.k. but nothing special. However, what really spoilt it for me was the poorly researched setting (where exactly in London is Southend?) & the ghastly use of cod British language. ‘Cor blimey’ as an expression used by an 18 year old? No-one has used that expression since the last war & I doubt it was ever used in Yorkshire. And then there’s the attempt to reproduce Yorkshire speech which, if you read it aloud, bears a passing resemblance to Liverpudlian. Why do American writers do this? And if they must do it, why don’t they run it past a British person actually still living in Britain? Here it’s so bad, it’s embarrassing. The series needs to move back to its author’s home country a.s.a.p.

Another well-written cozy mystery. The mystery was engaging, and I really liked the new setting. I’ve read that this won’t be the last installment in the series. I’m hoping she won’t return to the states and will continue her new life in the English village. I’m looking forward to the next one!
