A damn good book
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Excellent. Edge of your seat type writing and so hard to put down. It pulls you into a post apocalyptic world unlike any other. Characters you just root for so badly and maybe a few you will not. It is almost a 5 star but just a few little things nagged at me. I will not spoil the reader with these little things but will let you form your own opinion. I whole heartedly recommend this book.

Nevill never disappoints!
Wow! I’ve read a lot of his books, what started it with me was watching The Ritual. When I found the book I just had to read it because there’s always more when it comes to the book. Ever since, I’ve been addicted!! I love his writing style and how different each book is but that they’re all some type of horror! This book is one of the best invasion books I’ve ever read! I won’t spoil it but I do have to say that I was expecting no one at the end alive so that was one thing that differed from all his other books, most don’t survive or they think they’ve slipped away almost unscathed but eventually find out that’s not true! Keep doing what your doing Mr. Nevill, I truly hope to see this as a movie, I believe it would rank up there with War of the Worlds!!

I am loving the book so far, but the print is horrible.
This book arrived yesterday, and I am already more than halfway through it; however, pages are already falling out of the paperback. It seems to be very poorly held together. Don’t get it from this seller.

Damned good
I’ll start off by saying that apocalyptic fiction is something I normally dislike immensely. With that in mind, I have to say that “All the Fiends of Hell” is a masterpiece. The story itself is harrowing, with the only immediate survivors of an incomprehensible cataclysm being the sick and invalid. It really comes into it’s own by having those same survivors attempting to outrun terrible beings from who-knows-where while also having to contend with the worst sort of survivor.I won’t say much more, but if you need a good horror or apocalyptic story, give this one a try.

Spooky and grim
Spooky, horrifying, and incredibly grim. It’s the perfect book for folks who love cosmic horror and are frequently nostalgic over “The Road.”

With this novel, Adam Nevill broadens the scope of his bibliography by venturing into the alien horror field and he succeeds in doing so. Every time I read one of his books, I am pleasantly surprised by his ability to masterfully convey the anguish and despair of his characters. Shines here his talent for creating and depicting mesmerizing settings, as well. At the very core of the narration the reader finds mankind, called upon to do their best to tackle something their mind is not even able to comprehend.

Absolutely love the story line. It will stuck with me for a long time. I found the writing a but too descriptive and found myself skipping those parts. This would make a fantastic TV show.

This character piece takes place during a horrifying, perhaps supernatural apocolypse in early 2020s England. Others have compared it to King’s _The Mist_, though the author frames it as an homage to Well’s _The War of the Worlds_.The protaganist is a Mensch marinating in self-loathing and regret even before the extra-dimensional horror begins. I appreciate that the recurring human villain, Bob, was not as evil as I thought he might be.There is no happy ending, but there is remporary small r redemption. Do not read this if you are lonely.

The opening chapters of what happens to everyone was written excellently and a really unique concept. Loved the loud bells, red sky and humans being humans even in a situation like this. The main character isn’t your typical hero who exceeds in confidence, charisma, quick decision making or fighting skills. Instead you have an average joe who’s cowardly, clumsy and weak – but that makes this so intriguing. It’s written excellently in that you feel like you are on the run with them, there is literally no let up right through to the end. A fun read
