Fascinating Social Hostory, Well Told
interesting and engaging and perfect for the drive home from vacation in Acadia to home in the Berkshire Hills. We are old enough to remember when some of this story was still making news, but even that faded from consciousness without having an end. Authoritatively told by Anderson Cooper, himself an Astor.

Mr. Cooper has written a fabulous historical piece on the Astor Family in the Guilded Age New York. Thank goodness he did as no one else has done it and probably would not have done it. Well done Mr. Cooper!

A great read
This book about the Astors is a very enjoyable read. The genealogy is difficult to follow because every generation of males have the same names. Anderson Cooper even adds some person comments throughout the book. I am enjoying it very much.
