What could this new titan be?
After the shocking end of volume 1, I was wondering where the series would go after that. After reading volume 2, I’m pleased to say it didn’t disappoint. This volume is mostly action, and focuses on Mikasa. Although it is an action oriented volume, there’s a chapter dedicated to the backstory of Mikasa and her relation to Eren. Mikasa also gets some nice development, and she even has an unexpected moment of weakness. Armin gets a bit of development, and we get to see one of his brilliant plans.Towards the middle of the book, a new titan is introduced. Instead of killing everybody though, it instead mercilessly pummels the other titans. This is interesting, since we don’t know the extent of the titan’s intelligence, motives, or goals, so it’s nice to see a curveball. Speakimg of curveballs, there’s another shocking twist about the identity of this new titan.Overall, this is a fantastic volume. The artwork is spot-on, and there’s a lot of character and story development. Attack On Titan is shaping up to be one of the best manga I’ve read; And this is why I give this volume 5 stars.

The world is a dark place and human beings are on the verge of extinction. The new recruits are put to the test to get the citizens out of the town because of the titan invasion, but can they succeed. Story: The story is much darker this time. There is a lot of action in this volume, so if you like that kind of stuff your going to love this one. We get a flash back on Eren and Mikasa and we learn how they meet. Also their is a new ally that shows up for the recruits who is extremely powerful, but I won’t spoil who it is. 3/3.Character development: There is a ton of character development on Mikasa and Eren especially with the flashback and that answer some questions that I have been wondering about. Also a strong character is introduced in this volume who is awesome. 4/4.Artwork: The artwork is just as good as last time if not better in my opinion. 3/3.Overall, I highly recommend this series and please give it a read you won’t regret it.10/10
