   Not what it used to be
   The past few years the need for this magazine gets less and less for me. There are so many great websites where similar information can be found for free. But I always liked having a hard copy and I’ve been using the Fantasy Football Index magazine for years. This year they changed the by-team layout losing the actual stats from last year and replaced with only for their projections. And they cut out a lot of information from the magazine especially the recaps on the off season moves and more importantly they got rid of the previous year rankings by position which was a great reference point. Seems they would want to add more information to stay relevant versus downsizing the magazine and taking information away. Always enjoyed it in the past but likely my last year buying it. End of an era.

   Why do this?
   For 30+ years, I’ve been reading FFI, and buying a copy every year is fantasy football comfort food. However, this year, they inexplicably messed with the content. Rather than the team pages showing the basic summary stats of each team’s main players for the previous year, they’ve replaced that with projections, many of which are useless. Instead of seeing how many receptions, yards, and TD’s receiver X had last year, now you get the very useful projections that receiver X is forecasted to score .00 rushing touchdowns per game in 2024! That’s some useful stuff!
