    Great Read
Very interesting account of Hawaii and the effects of Pearl Harbor written by a local military person.

  2. Leon T. Hadar

    Very informative
I enjoyed reading this short but very informative book on the two spies that are at the center of the narrative. Great research and documentation and very easy read. Interesting discussion of the fate of Japanese Americans during World War II

Answered a lot of questions I’ve always had about WWII and what happened in Hawaii
I’m a baby boomer born just after WWII ended. I grew up across the street from McKinley High School where Douglas Wada went to school. I’m very familiar with many of the areas mentioned in the book. I’ve always been curious about why the Japanese in Hawaii weren’t all interned like those on the mainland U.S. This book explains how and why the Japanese in Hawaii were treated differently. The book also furnished a lot of info about different places and the name changes that took place before I was born. I found this book extremely informative. I rate this book 5 stars.

  4. Don Epand

This book looks at the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor from a distinctly different perspective and is very interesting.
