   The darkness on these page!
   First off, check the trigger warnings ⚠️ This book is definitely not for the light hearted.I absolutely loved this book and all the messed up dark trenches it led me too.Relying returned to her home town with the thought of solving ghost stories and completing college with her long time friend. But this town is twisted up in murders that go unsolved and a mysterious man keeps popping up to deter Rae from her goals.The Killer requires a soul willingly given, and when Rae accidentally summons him, only to realize who he really is, everything has become far more of a mess than she expected.I had a hard time at moments, seeing Raelynn constantly putting herself at risk throughout the story, but Leon was amazing and it all makes sense as to why she is a risking biscuit.Was the story something new, absolutely! The details of every creepy monster was vivid, there was perfectly timed mystery to pull me back in and though this felt like a slow burn, it was phenomenally paced. I am excited to get my hands on more by this author.

   This was a pretty good book to read granted it took me a while I picked it up and put it down a few times but after listening to it on audible while reading along with it I actually enjoyed it It’s different than what I usually read But definitely I’m ready to read the next 1 in the series and finish the trilogy all together I love their chemistry.

   I’m only putting 3 stars for two reasons – the pages were ripped and the spine was broken. Like I didn’t expect it to come in such a state, especially buying from amazon. But I love the book, the story and I was excited for it to come since I’ve been wanting to read it for a while now. I’m a huge fan of Harley Laroux’s books and I’m just disappointed and a little angry that the book came in such a state..
