Heady But Enjoyable
I liked the fact that it was interesting enough to finish. The comparison of Moses and Akhenaten, great. I am a spiritual person and try to read up on history, religions, just anything I think would be interesting and book was all that!!!

Fascinating book
One of the things I liked most about this book was that, while the author clearly had their own theories, for the majority of the book they relied on scientific facts to make their case, but left the reader to form their own conclusions based on scientific evidence. They did come out at the end and suggest theories and possibilities that are somewhat fanciful, but really only fanciful because they differ from what we’ve been taught to believe. They explained the presence and later absence of the Neanderthal and Denisovans better than any other scientific article I’ve read. I will likely go back and read their previous work.

A completely astounding book covering the history you do not know. It will amaze you! One of the most educational books I have ever read! The man is a genius.

Interesting hypothesies
The author gathers information from different sources and artfully and creatively combines it to create hypothesis of what happened in the past. There are several that I liked because they seem plausible, but he does not provide the last link that would give them more credit. I believe it is more fiction than facts .I would also comment on the many repetitions of the same information on the same subject

Going this far back in time, we can mainly speculate what happened. The history presented in this book makes sense and a lot of research went into it.

An excellent introduction for the novice
We live with the false idea that mankind is here to stay. The Neanderthal culture ended suddenly. The Denisovan culture ended suddenly. The Clovis culture ended suddenly. Homo Sapiens enjoys advanced technology, but we have no guarantee we’ll be here in twenty years because of the same extraterrestrial catastrophes which ended those other cultures. There are over 100 excellent and very interesting books about our real ancient history and your education is awaiting… get started. This is an excellent overview.
