    Great teaching!
The Microsoft team have compile this book. A great book on basic or intro. I must say that I don’t expect anything less from Microsoft. INTEGRITY!I recommend and the price is soft. It won’t hurt your pocket!

Good introduction to Programming for the very beginner.
This book was not what I was hoping it would be since I was looking for a book on the original BASIC programming language which used line numbers for each program statement and was used in the ’70’s and ’80’s. But this was a good book for a beginner so I gave it five stars.

    Surprisingly easy and fun
This was a very fast, educational and easy read. I highly recommend it to anyone taking their first dive into programming.

    No Tech Knowledge Required!
This is a great book to introduce yourself to the basics of coding. It is geared towards people with no coding experience or technological knowledge, so it goes over helpful terms and coding concepts before diving right into the skills. The book provides clear examples which explain the code, and then give the user an opportunity to test their skills by writing their own code or altering the given code. The exercises get progressively more challenging, but they build off of the knowledge previously learned in the book. This is a great resource for those who want to figure out if learning to code is something they want to invest more time and/or money into.

    Full of nasty surprises
This book has comments like this in the proposed exercises: “Here is a command that we didn’t explain to you. Google is a good friend”. The exercises have no answers which is think is an odious didactical practice. I think that solved exercises is an excellent didactical tool. I think I am one of the few readers that have this opinion. I am ok with this but can barely tolerate a book that have exercises about commands not explained in the book and that sends you to google.

    Cheap, but not good.
For the price, I suppose it’s not the end of the world, but this is poorly organized I don’t think this was put together with any care. And Small Basic is not all that small. It is object-oriented. I realize this is standard with programming languages these days, but it has a lot of junk in the trunk for a beginner language. There’s a famous quote: “With object orientation all you want is the banana, but you wind up with the gorilla holding it and you get the whole jungle, too.”
