Good read…but
So far a good read with decent growth of characters. The series hit a twist at book five. Now no release date for 6. Typical of these authors that find a fan base they start other series and the ones in print suffer. Too many squirrels to chase leaves work scattered. I realize that kindle makes no money for an author sometimes and needs must as sales feed the bulldog. But not cool to wind it up and leave it hanging.

This is such a great series, and book 5 continues to keep things going. New characters, locations, and relationships make this the best Darkthorn book yet! I love that it can appeal to young adult readers, as the language and adult situations are minor, yet it has great action and interesting plot twists for more mature readers.

Story line is great and keeps me into the action. Can’t wait for the next book However, the stories need proofreading. The author keeps mixing up the genders (on the dragons mostly) and names of characters. It’s VERY distracting and confusing in places.

Book 5 was just as good, if not better, than the first four books! I would definitely recommend this series of books! Already downloaded book 6 and can’t wait to start reading! Adventure, excitement, likeable characters and amazing situations abound!

Potentially a soft spoiler, nothing is mentioned but the general feel of the book and how it progresses is below:……………….While I love the series I found this book lacking. It felt like a huge filler, a build up to the next book. Not alot happened compared to the others until the final few chapters and even then it was anticlimactic, honestly, I feel you could skip this book and just read a summary and get the same impact.As I say, alot of build up hopefully the next book will continue to impress and leave a great lasting impression as the others have in this series.
