One of his best. My granddaughter wants me to read the whole thing all the time. I love the short story design. Entertaining. Bit also sets the stage for short story narratives in the future.

Always a Fun Read, Love Looking for Lowly Worm in Each Scene
We love a lot of the Richard Scarry books and we enjoy this one also. It claims to be the funniest storybook ever – the stories are cute, but they aren’t laugh out loud funny and some of the plots end abruptly. Each story has one of the characters getting into sticky situations – the best one is Lowly’s Birthday where he takes Father Cat’s car and drives it crazily around town since he has no arms and everyone is ducking for cover; he eventually crashes into Huckle’s kitchen and into his birthday cake.The best part of any Richard Scarry book is always the illustrations. They are full of funny details and every time you look at the pictures, you find something new to see. Our favorite thing to do is race each other to find Lowly Worm in every scene and the little green bugs that show up in many scenes. Overall, this is a fun book and you can definitely get lots of quality time reading the stories and looking for things in the pictures with your child.

Another wonderful Scarry book to delight the youngest readers, and through elementary age!
I love the big size, so much fun for sharing with a grandchild on both sides of me. You can just talk about the pictures to the younger ages, but the text is hilarious and my 7-year-old grandson cackles every time we read the really funny imaginative stories. And as in all Scarry books, the illustrations help make the entire experience even better! I know every time the kids come we will read this book!

Okay it’s not thaaaaaat funny, but it’s a great book for littles. Even great for them to entertain themselves since there’s so much going on in the pictures.

Richard Scarry’s book are timeless classics. My nephews not only love the funny stories but also the wonderfully detailed illustrations that go with it. The stories are also very informative with a good vocabulary for kids. A delight for children and parents alike!!
