    Comprehensive and colorful
I love how simple this book is. Scientific backing for yoga and yoga therapy that is broken down into very usable information that anyone can understand. The illustrations are beautiful, colorful, and explanatory. Very well done.

    Great info
This has really nice colorful pictures and can be picked up and put down like a magazine. What I mean is it can be perused in a super leisurely way. Definitely recommend!

I recently dove deep into yoga and wanted to know the how and why, this book is a great one! Informative but not boring.

    A brilliant read!
Learning more about the science behind how and why yoga has the effects it does was definitely priceless information, and I’ll be rereading this until I’ve fully absorbed as much as I can. I would definitely recommend this book to any fellow science lovers that are interested in the connections between science and spirituality and mind/body/spirit.

Unfortunately I returned my copy because I received it damaged. I can only talk about my first impressions. At first glance the way that knowledge is presented seems a little too general, the layout is a like a chaotic school textbook too. That may be appealing for some but me personally, I like simple, old-fashioned books where the knowledge is condensed in an organized manner. I could probably still learn from this book as it approached many different subjects. Now, the illustrations are fantastic. Too bad they decided to put those detailed, beautiful illustrations split across two pages, which makes them almost useless. You can’t even read some descriptions. This is a huge flaw in my opinion.Possibly in the future the format could be slightly bigger, and some illustrations smaller, so one would fit on a single page. That, I would reorder.

Very clear guidance on anatomy, functionality, the importance of correct usage of your muscles. Not only when you do you exercises but also the impact. Good visual images that are very straightforward and helpful.Usable For the teacher or the starting student or anyone interested in becoming more advanced.

This is an incredible addition to my Yoga library. I have a similar soft copy but the impeccable inputs and deep research by Ann Swanson makes the book best among anatomy and physiology.
