A Great Story!
I enjoyed reading about Summer’s return to her hometown. It is a touching story with sadness, love, and intrigue. As Summer struggles with her flashbacks, I was surprised at what she’d forgotten had happened the night her brother died. The title is perfect for this book. I liked the storyline with Damian, his mother and sister. It definitely added suspense too.I highly recommend Second Chance Summer. I’ve read Allie Boniface’s books books before and they are always enjoyable reads.

great story but continuity errors
I would love to give this 5 stars but the author seemed to forget some of her own storyline. In the beginning they didn’t have much money and she had to wear second hand clothes. Yet her father bought a mansion and was able to pay 2 guys, in advance, to renovate it. Her father had a past that made him sad but was never revealed. No mention of another relationship after his wife died yet Summer told Damian her mother died giving birth to HER. So where did the younger brother come from? Some events of the night of the accident weren’t clearly explained. I also feel the romance was more of an attraction than real feelings. I would like to have seen a better development. All that being said, I couldn’t put it down! Couldn’t wait to find out secrets revealed.

This is a nicely written and edited story.
I think the best word for this story is “heartwarming.” There are few distractions throughout the book; it’s a professionally written, fairly classic romance. If you’re looking for edgy, spicy, or quirky, this isn’t the book. It’s solid, a HEA with responsibility laden characters, and quite well done as such.Enjoy!

An enjoyable read that kept me turning the pages. Plenty of drama that added that bit extra to the story. The characters were easy to like.

Summer is back in the small town she grew up in having been sent away 10years previously by her father. She and her boyfriend had been in a car accident that killed her brother but her memory of that day never really returned. Her father has left her an estate and she wants to sell it asap and go back to San Francisco wondering why he bought the place. Damien is working on the house and her father allowed him to rent the cottage behind the big house, his mother is hiding from her abusive ex. Its an easy to read story but very predictable.
