    Great bonding time and discussions
My 12 and 14 year old request to have me read a story or two aloud to them each night while they get ready for bed. The stories have created great discussion and we’ve loved our time together reading this book. We were sad to finally finish it but thrilled that there are other spectacular stories to read. Yay. Looking forward to reading the animal one. Thanks!

    Entertaining and Relevant
My fourth-grade tutor students are enjoying the stories. I use the stories to introduce spelling and syllable division patterns.

    Interesting stories
Spectacular Stories for Curious KidsBy Jesse SullivanThis has so many crazy but true stories that kids, and adults, will love. There is a story about an army on horseback that rides up to a fleet of ships in the water and surprises them! A must read to find out that secret.Lots of stories that will having you grossed out knowing what they did in the past for health! Interesting history on how we obtained certain things today. The only story that is presented as the typical myth version is Rasputin. I know because I just finished reading a book on him and the myths surrounding him.Other than that it is a fun book.

    Great
This book was so fun to read. I found out things I’ve never known, and they’re ALL TRUE!. I was constantly putting in book marks on ones I thought were really fun or extra interesting. All the stories were only about 2 or so pages so I could stop and start through out the book. I tell some of the stories to my grandchildren and adults. One of the stories answers the question of where they came up with the name Teddy Bear, which was funny as we (grandchildren and i) had just been trying to figure it out. There is mentioned in some other reviews that it was not appropriate for younger children (8 or so). There were several stories that might upset some children that are those ages or under. They would be things that might cause them to worry or get frightened. My suggestion is to read it first, then read it to the children excluding those stories. There are so many other great stories they will love and they all are great to discuss. No matter the age I love to read to others and they love to listen to me read. Enjoy.

    Great Read for 3rd Graders
My grandson really enjoyed reading this book. He read it for school every day and loved the diversity of stories. His favorite was the Exploding Rat Strategy of WWII.
