    What a great family!
You might want a tissue now and then through this book. It’s a great story, filled with emotion and danger. Great characters will have you rooting for them, and wishing bad karma on the jerks!

    The Cowboy and His Runaway
I have read some of the later books and decided to start at the beginning. I am also a part of the author’s newsletter and was able to get a novella about Colt, Sage and Blaze and how they all became a family. That really helped in understanding all of the characters that are mentioned here in this book. There are a lot of characters basically family members.I loved reading how Blaze and Riley came together. Blaze is a protector through and through. He stood up and protected Sage when they were growing up and that easily included Riley when she is found in the barn injured. Riley escaped with $40 to her money and little else. Her boyfriend had abused her physically and she left after giving him some sleeping pills mixed with alcohol. She hitches a ride with a female semi-driver, Lilly. She tells Lilly a little about her situation (two black eyes and needed some pain-relievers were a big giveaway). She fibs though when Lilly drops her load in Rock Springs, TX that she will stay at the local B&B and call her friend. Riley goes behind the bar and hopes to find some food. She isn’t too proud at this point. When two men come out and start arguing, Riley hides in the back of a pick-up and covers up with some blankets back there. She wakes up when the pick-up starts up and winds up at a ranch. She makes her way to the hayloft in the barn and falls asleep. She is found the next day. This starts Blaze and Riley toward their adventure and HEA. These two have a long road ahead of them though. Will Riley overcome her past and see that Blaze is a good guy and nothing like the evil ex? Will Riley’s ex-boyfriend find her? Can Blaze protect Riley? These and several more questions arise.I loved the dual POV format. Getting that glimpse into the characters’ thoughts really helped to connect with them. It makes them more realistic. This is a spicy read. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves cowboys and is over 18.

    Excellent story
So good and full of extra characters with their own backgrounds. Enough action and thriller situations to keep you interested in what is happening next. Well written, well paced and just enough romance without going overboard. Truly an excellent story and will definitely recommend it to everyone.

    The Cowboy and His Runaway
An amazing story about a family who has taken in several abused children. Bringing them together in their home, becoming part of their family, and showing them what love truly is. This story touches on abuse: both physically and emotionally, mentally. Thankfully these kids found someone willing to take a chance on them. Beautiful story.❤️

The Cowboy and His Runaway – Book 1
This is such a good read. I loved all the characters. They pull you in right from the start. You can’t help but love the family. It’s entertaining and the wait for the next book has already been too long! This is going to be an amazing series. I received an advance copy and this is my honest review.

Love the characters, I haven’t read this author before but will definitely read more. I enjoy books with HEA and in a series.

Suqarsweet with whipped cream on top. And quite a lot of guns…If you are in the mood for an easy, slightly predictable, read then this is a nice book. But the book was a bit too full of clichés for me.

I received this audiobook for free as a review copy. The story is shocking but also heartbreakingly sweet. We all know that there are abusive relationships, but as long as we are not directly involved we tend to forget…Even though there are people that reach out and offer help, leaving the situations does not necessarily mean that your nemesis will leave you alone.Coming from abusive relationships puts a lot of stress on your new partner, it’s hard to trust and demands lots of patience and understanding.Since I am a stickler for HEAs I liked that in the end erverything turned out well and the good people got their chance at love.

It took me a couple of chapters to get into this book but then wow I really enjoyed it. The characters all had a really bad violent start in life which I found really upsetting, with a lot of ups and downs and a lot of hard work they get their HEA
