    What a Twisted,Terrifying Book
This is my first time reading a book by this Author. The backstory in the woods is realistic to the point you can smell the woodsy scent. The characters are well developed. I really enjoyed their interactions. There are many surprises in the story that are will really shock you. The ending is a huge surprise. Now to begin on the Disciple.

Great read, but a bit confusing at times.
“The Little Woods” is an entrancing horror story filled with an exciting plot peppered with mind-bending twists, though it did elicit a few questions from me. [SPOILER ALERT!]1. Why did the boys witness Matt Chauncey on the baseball field the day after he was murdered in the woods? Was he just an apparition conjured by the boy’s minds to free them from guilt?2. What really happened to Jack Raker?3. Why was Mr. Raker digging in the frozen ground of his backyard before his death? What was he trying to dig up? Was it Jack?4. Ian obviously killed Della and disposed of her body. When he murdered his brother, Bryan, did he realize he would become the Disciple?I look forward to reading the next book. Hopefully, it will answer some of my questions.

    My first horror book
I bought this book on a whim to see what a horror book could be. I had been use to novels, but being that am I a horror film fanactic I knew I needed to get into horror books and picked this one out. Finished in 3 days! Soooo good, currently reading the second one and pre ordered the third. Amazing writing, amazing story telling, I need more horror books on my book shelf just because of AG Mock! Thank you¡!!

A Very Twisted Horror Story – Truly Disturbing
So I am having a tough time rating this one. Normally I don’t tend to have that problem at all but I definitely have conflicting thoughts and emotions about this book. One problem is that I found it very disturbing… But then it should be disturbing because its horror! So the book has definitely done its job there all right. I guess in some weird way I am not used to reading stuff that actually disturbs me? I think I also expect certain “consequences” at the end of a book under certain circumstances and well this book sort of breaks that rule??So if you truly want to read something that is freaky in a supernatural manner and is disturbing than do try this one… Some scenes at the beginning section of the book do that all too well.I also feel this is along the lines of King… Except his stuff never actually bothered me. But he certainly is the master of writing horror. Well this book reminds me greatly of the stuff he writes, same kind of scenario. Kids in some tiny town with some next level bizarre stuff going on and before you know it people are dead. And this book is violent. There is serious cruelty in here. Bullying. Well it goes way beyond bullying I suppose. But its nasty stuff and that is what makes the book so disturbing. The characters I like more or less. Some of the kids in here I didn’t like at all. How could you? They do such awful stuff… It was almost testing my sense of disbelief….until I remembered actual news stories where real kids actually had done stuff like this. And who I really liked was Della. Unsure why but for some reason she really stood out to me way more than any of the other characters. I could not relate to Ian or Bryan or the other boys in here at all. I also don’t understand how one plays this game of “war”. The story doesn’t exactly explain it either. It tells part of it but then it never bothers to explain how a game is won. What is the objective?? No idea. Needless to say it got greatly out of control. There is at least one scene in here I found very confusing. About Ian’s knee. The author never explained that bit. Earlier he made a huge fuss about the knee and then later it was just forgotten?? I don’t get it. But it makes me hard to suspend the belief when events from earlier do not follow through logically. I suppose I will have to blame it on the supernatural stuff. But I think the author needs to be more careful. But I found this to be very creepy. Lots of events. The story certainly keeps moving. And the story is split into two different decades: 1977 and 1995.And it seems the trouble in this book is just starting. And while I found the beginning disturbing the book didn’t scare me and it wasn’t suspenseful. I am unsure if page turner is a correct term either. I did read it fast though. But I really was not engaged with the characters and I really wasn’t concerned about what happened to them.I do know other authors have written similar storylines to this but this one seems to focus on numerous gory deaths so if that is what you like than this may be a great read for you….although it was not exactly what I was looking for.

    Wow!
Grabs you from the opening page and does not let go until the twisted ending. Gallop’s across different scenarios until —and then throws a curve in the last sentence.

    Good book!
This is good book for a starter! I liked the book, but too much info about the kids in the younger years. Kinda long winded, but impressive.

O livro possui um ritmo constante, e a história se desenvolve bem.O ponto negativo é que o segundo livro não saiu.

This book was a good read, but was not scary in any way. I bought this to read while camping (good place for scary. reads) but was a bit disappointed

I took a while to get into this but did enjoy it although the ending became a bit jumbled and suddenly had exorcism and possession. Some very creepy bits though and good twist ending
