    Twists and Turns of Revenge
This was a very suspenseful read. It is a very hard book to put down once you begin reading. Great author.

    Good read But!!!!
Loved the characters but detest the dog scene. I don’t appreciate any harsh animal scenes. It ruins the whole book for me.

    10 Stars!!!
I read this book several times since it has been released in 1981 and it’s one of my favorite thrillers of all times (the other two are “The Little Girl who lives down the Lane” by Laird Koenig and the British thriller “Landscape of Lies” by Peter Watson). The great New England island atmosphere is captivating and the story unpredictable, the heroine very sympathetic.BTW Spain & France produced a movie […] :(.In the meantime I read all other MacDonald books and some of them were really good like “Stolen in the Night”, but “The Unforgiven” is her master piece, no doubt about it. It deserves 10 Stars.

    Don’t like her endings
I’ve read about 4 of Patricia MacDonald’s books & I don’t care for her endings in any of them. In the Unforgiven the story was pretty good though she made some of the characters pretty dumb to me. Her chapters are way too long for my liking & she gets a bit too descriptive which drags out the story. I’m glad I caught this book on sale, don’t think it was worth the regular price of $12.00. The thing I really don’t like about her books are the endings. She cuts them off to quick & I’m left feeling what happened next. Personnaly I would recommend her books only if you catch them on sale for 4 or 5 dollars.

Kept me on the edge of the seat
I really liked this book. It was filled with suspense and althoughthe “bad guy” was revealed rather early on, it still had lots ofsurprises. I enjoyed the 2 main characters who I thought werewell developed and the stalker seemed so real to me. Eventhough the ending was somewhat predictable, I would recommend this book.

Ordered through amazon, but purchased this book from USED@BNEW in Lubbock TX. This book was ordered on Monday and was in my mail box on Wednesday. Hard to believe the quick delevery time from Texas to South Carolina. Apparently Barbara watches her business very closely and takes it seriously. Book was as advertised and came sealed protective wrapper before it was ever put in a mailer. I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a used book.

    The Unforgiven
Excellent book. I thoroughlyt enjoyed reading it. Ms. MacDonald is one of my favorite authors and she never disappoints.

  8. Maggie Long

Apart from the sudden ending, no doubt about it, The Unforgiven is Patricia MacDonald’s masterpiece.I love the two main characters, Jess and Maggie. The Stalker was creepy. As I read this story, my main thought was to stay away from married men.I give this book 5 stars.

  9. Joy Finder

After spending years behind bars for a crime she didn’t commit Maggie believes she is finally free to start life again. But is she? What if the nightmare which started with the murder follows her as she tries for a fresh start. An unputdownable crime drama.

A full on, fast moving read, that will keep you unable to put down. I really enjoyed enjoyed it, and wanted to read more of the characters.

the greatest writer if you like light reading, very suspenseful, right to the end. I highly recommend her books, would love to hear how others feel.

nice book to spend a few spare hours with, even if quite predictable. Ideal for the beach or on the train.
