    Great read!
Excellent plot and character development. I’ve loved reading about the farm while intrigued by the mystery. A page turner! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

    Not my cup of tea.
Good story. Well written. Too much recipes for me. But once into the investigation it was more interesting. All in all good.

    I’m glad the dog lived
And the people sorted themselves out. With some help from the clever cook . . . along with some tasty treats, a thoroughly satisfying read.

    Not so gripping
Gripping does not come to mind. Dragging is more like it. If you really have to know who did it, skip to the end and save your self a lot of frustration.

    The winter mystery
A great read. I didn’t keep until the very end who the actual murderer was. It was as good as all the previous reads.

Yes, I enjoyed this book. I bought it because I was married to a star chef and love cooking. The story, the plot, the characters – all great. But how can one possibly believe that Jenny Starling turns up at a remote farm in the middle of heavy snow and winter where the men/daughter only ever cook themselves simple meals (poached egg on toast, for example), and, all of a sudden, on her arrival, she can produce amazing dishes that evening, the next day and the whole week, without ever going shopping. I mean I live alone now and I’m always out shopping for a necessary ingredient or spice or whatever. She manages to make mince pies, lunches, dinners, cake etc. all without going food shopping. (The farm is snowed in and no vehicles can get in or out). Sorry, Mrs. Martin, but that was a bit far-fetched. But, as I say, I enjoyed the book. A bit of a boring ending.

I like the travelling cook books, they are logical and the clues are laid out for you , you just need to figure out which ones mean anything! I have read three now so they must be worth a read

I disliked the fact that you are selling these books under two different series i.e Jenny Starling mysteries and the travelling cook series, I didn’t realise this and bought both of one of them
