CATS DON’T LIKE THAT! by Andy Wortlock & Illustrated by Nahum Ziersch (A Children’s Picture Book)
Oh my goodness what an absolutely adorable book. I bought this to read to my two toddler nieces and I cannot wait to do exactly that. I’ve personally never owned a cat myself but my son and his girlfriend have one and I’ve got to say that this story was spot on all the way down to the “slap” when she doesn’t want to be petted. She especially hates having her belly rubbed and will swat your hand if you try it, LoL…This entire story was simply a ton of fun but I think the best part of all were the wonderful illustrations which made this tale really come to life. I laughed and smiled reading this book and I know my nieces will do the same. There is also a tiny mouse and a green ball of yarn hidden on every page that I am sure all the young ones will have a great time searching for. Just a really delightful book and one I’m glad I bought ð

Cute and fun
My 5y loved looking for the mouse and yard! The story was cute too but the activity was really the part she loved most!

Cute Book
Cute book for young kids. I would give this book to my grandkids. They would get a laugh from reading it.

Fun story with fantastic illustrations.
Cute story AND illustrations. The rhyme and rhythm are also good (which is often NOT the case) so thanks for that! The author is correct: there are a LOT of things cats don’t like. However, you don’t even need water in the shower or bath. If they’ve ever been in a tub full of water, your cats will try and claw you limb from limb if they ever see even an empty tub under them. Just ask my husband….

Perfect for giggles!
I read this book at work and it made me giggle *right* when someone walked into my office…Anyways, this book is absolute fun! It’s definitely one that you want to read aloud and really get into it, because it is great for giggles. It’s an easy read and the reading flow is rhythmic, which are some of my favorites because of the predictability of the next lines. The illustrations are super cute and fun, and there’s even a challenge to try to find the mouse and the yarn in every picture. And of course, anyone who’s owned a cat knows how accurate the book is because he’s right…Cats Don’t Like That!Very fun book, I shall have to add to my kids’ library!

Should be $1
Totally disappointed for the price.Very short. Good lessons, but written in a way that it is difficult to understand them.Written in rhyme with terrible English.Don’t waste your.money.

I love this book, it is amusing and beautifully illustrated. The examples of why cats are different and make a finicky pet, are so well done as a story line. Each page has good vocabulary and reads easily to a child of any age, as well as an adult. I gave this book as a gift to cat lovers.

This book is great fun and has fantastic, colourful, funny illustrations. As a cat lover, I can appreciate all the things that cats hate! Although this is a kids’ book it could also make the perfect gift for any cat lover – whatever their age. You won’t be disappointed.

Written from the cat’s perspective, and with the attitude of a cat. It was so adorable and kids loved it!
